New Delhi: Speaking at the historic moment of inaugurating Medical Council of India’s e-governance Digital Mission Mode Project (DMMP), MCI President Ms Jayanti Ben Mehta Said that “ The journey on which we embarked on 19th August 2016 has finally started delivering its objective of digital Medical Council Of India. The joint efforts of Ministry of Health and MCI have resulted in the development of DMMP in a record time of 6-8 months. As part of Online Faculty Attendance Monitoring System (OFAMOS) currently, we have more than 50,000 faculties registered all over India in 170 colleges and 1700 biometric machines installed and working in more than 150 colleges.
As we are going in phases we will complete this exercise in all the 550 medical colleges in India by July’2017. To achieve the paperless office we have completed digitisation of 50 lacs physical pages and they are now part of the Document Management system without any chances of getting lost or misplaced. From the second week of April major services of MCI will be all available online and no more paper application will be entertained With more than 20 applications going live including all the internal services like HR, Finance, Inventory MCI is on road to realise the dream of Paperless Office.”
