New Delhi: The much-awaited Bill over Triple Talaq is finally produced in Lok Sabha on Thursday. Modi Government is backing its move in the parliament by emotionally appealing to the Muslim Women. BJP said don’t worry the bill will definitely be passed in the parliament. Brother of Muslim Women Narinder Bhai Modi will do all he could for giving equal rights to the Muslim women.
Member of Parliament Meenakshi Lekhi, while talking of the Bill said when women have a brother like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they do not need to worry about anything. They do not need to be feared by anyone. India Women have been facing suppression in the society for centuries. We are the biggest minority in the country. This is high time that we do away all the practices that oppress us.
Lekhi said Talaq-e-biddat has nothing to do with the religion. this is customary. We need a law to deal instant talaq. The bill is produced in the parliament amid protests from the Opposition parties. Many opposition parties are opposing some of the provisions of Triple Talaq.
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will talk about the issue, said the bill is not about religion. It is all about justice and respect for women. We are not cracking jokes in the parliament, we are just talking about the rights of Muslim women. The Supreme Court had termed the practice of Triple Talaq as unconstitutional.
Victim of Triple Talaq from Agra Faiza Khan said Nobody thought of us till now. I would like to thank Modi for removing Triple Talaq. This bill will benefit the coming generations of Muslim. It is more significant in Muslim women life than Eid or Bakrid.
